Shannon learned some great lessons about competition and the importance of gear at the 2014 New England Kids Triathlon and kicked some butt while doing it! She was competing against many kids who had kid-sized special road bike, from min Trek Madones to Cervellos. Parents had to shell out at least $2,000 for some of those bikes.
