This project was was the result of deep inspiration of, and admiration for Carol Kleinfeldt of KMA. She was the first woman to ever chair the Executive Committee of the Toronto Society of Architects (1987/88). She volunteers her time to events such as Toronto Arts Week, The Word on the Street and Desrosier Dance Theatre—simply put she is an exceptional woman and it was a pleasure to complete this project for both her and her partner Roman of Kleinfeldt Mychajlowycz Architects. Their firm was one of the first to embrace green building practices and to offer LEED certified work to their clients. We have worked together and I have learned much about art, design, form, beauty, and sheer determination, from her. Here she is talking about the sculpture. www.kma.to
