http://www.muvee.com/en/products/reveal Today we're going to learn how to make great holiday slideshows with muvee Reveal X. Step 1: Add photos We have some great photos from a trip we took to London last Christmas in 2011. We're going to add all of the photos from Christmas Eve. Step2: Choose a muvee Style muvee Reveal X has a great selection of Styles to choose from. We're going to choose their newest Style, "Winter Wonderland". It's perfect for making holiday slideshows at this time of year. Step 3: Adjust the music length Each Style comes with its own music, and it's possible to change the length of the music. This is important because shorter videos are more likely to be watched than longer videos. So, change the music length of your slideshow to about 90 seconds. This is short, so it will keep the attention of your viewer. Step 4: Remove photos if there are too many If you reduce the length of the music, there may be too many photos for the time line. This means the muvee slideshow won't display perfectly. So, remove some of the photos. muvee Reveal X usually will tell you how many to remove. In this case, we're removing photos that aren't "Christmas-y". They're fine photos, but may not have a Christmas feel. To remove a photo, just right-click and select "Remove" Step 5: Adjust the order of your photos It's always important to have a narrative in your slideshow. This draws people in and makes them want to watch your video. So, experiment with dragging photos around to tell a story. Step 6: Use magicSpot to focus attention Reveal's magicSpot is a great way to focus the viewer's attention on something. In this case, it's us in front of the Christmas tree in our hotel in London. It's a great memory of Christmas Eve, but we're kind of stuck in a corner of the photo, so I wanted to make sure everyone can see us together. muvee Reveal X does this automatically, but there are also manual controls in case you want to get the perfect focus. Step 7: Add a title Every muvee video slideshow comes with a title, and credits. You can modify the title into something more descriptive that lets your audience know what they are about to watch. Here I've made a simple title, "Christmas, London 2011". You can also change font size and font type, change the background colors, or add an image. You can even add a logo or watermark, plus change how long the title displays for. Step 8: Add credits Just like adding a title, it's also possible to add credits Step 9: Save your slideshow in different video formats It's possible to upload your muvee video slideshow directly to YouTube or Facebook with the push of a button (you'll have to sign in first), as well as muvee Cloud, our online cloud storage service. As well, muvee allows you to save your video slideshows for different devices, from laptops to iPads to smartphones. You can even create DVDs if you like. You also have complete control over what format you like, from WMV to AVI to MOV and more. Today, we're choosing WMV format, because it saves as a relatively small file and preserves quality. Step 10: Enjoy your video! Enjoy your video! You can either share it with friends and family as an email attachment, or upload to YouTube or Facebook from your computer.
