War Drums is a vsti drum plugin created using SynthMaker software (www.synthmaker.com) / Flowstone http://www.dsprobotics.com/ It uses sampled drum sounds in wav format played through a synthmaker wave player module. Sounds include: snare, kick, Taiko drum (Japanese drum), bodhram (celtic drum), and a low Tom drum. I created this synth since there were no free vst plugins available. You could just as easily use a free soundfont player with the internet available free drum soundfonts to achieve the same thing. However, this takes all the drum sounds that can be used to create war drum rhythms into one plugin. The drum sounds are all free, royalty free, readily available on the internet wave files that were edited with the versatile Audacity software (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/). The wav files were trimmed to zero cross over, normalized, and bass boosted to give the best sound. The www.box.net download version contains three files: the WarDrums.dll vst plugin, the Savihost executable file, and a War Drums this War Drums Instruction pdf. This synth has been tested in Savihost, a standalone vst host and Sony Music Studio 7 DAW. Performance in other DAWs is not guaranteed. Use at your own risk. Best to always be overcautious. To use just unzip to a folder, double click the Savihost executable file (one with purple diamond icon).
