Hi my name is Roger Ahuja and I'm going to take a couple of minutes and show you how to setup the backup in Windows 10. It's actually very similar to Windows 8.1. So we're going to go to the search and type in File History and go to this icon. The 1st thing to do is select where you're going to make the backup to. So we click here to select. I'm going to back it up to drive F which is an external 3 Terabyte drive that I have. Now this tells you what it's going to backup automatically your libraries. Which if you're not familiar with your libraries are Documents, downloads music pictures videos. As well as your desktop, contacts and favorites. That's what it's going to backup. Just those folders only. If you go to advance settings here. This is how frequently it will backup. I prefer to backup every 10 minutes. And as far as the saved versions. I like to keep them until the space is needed. And then save changes here and then just turn it on. Now it's going to make a backup of all my files. The other thing that's useful here is System Image Backup. If you click on that, it will ask you where you want to backup to. I'm going to select that and then hit next I'm going to add my D drive to it and I can hit start backup at this point and what that will do is make an image of the programs the operating system pretty much everything on the drive. The only other thing to touch on is if you've got folders outside of these areas. They are not going to be backed up. You can add items to your libraries add folders to your libraries and then they would get backed up.
