There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request

Oh how I hate this error! You drag your butt out of bed, dash to work and attempt to login to your PC but then you see this vexing error: "There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request". If you're a IT director, help desk analyst or sysadmin then you'll probably unjoin and rejoin the computer to the domain. Don't do this! It's a super waste of time especially when I tell you about two clever tricks for fixing this problem without rebooting anything. This video is a little long so if you just want to see the bottom line skip to the end. These are the two commands that do the trick from the client when logged in as a local administrator: nltest /SERVER:%hostname% /SC_RESET domainName.local\domainHostName and Test-ComputerSecureChannel -Repair In PowerShell. I'll try to make the videos more compact in the future. And don't forget to check out my blog at http://www.fixedbyvonnie.com/ for more updates. As a small bonus I show you the super valuable -Full, -ShowWindow and -Examples Powershell cmdlet parameters. Check it out!
