In this video tutorial we will show you how to use the Open File Button within your publication. We will be working with the Interactive Panel in the Design Tab in the 3D Issue Software. This feature will enable your readers to view other files as they browse through the publication. For example you may want to make a catalogue or pricing list available to them for viewing even in offline mode. They must be reading offline to have this button or hotspot appear to them as an option. Select the page you want to work with. The download option can be presented as a button on screen as shown here. It can also be presented to the end reader as a Hotspot. Simply size and position the button or hotspot on screen. Enter the file you wish them to be able to open when offline. For further information the Advanced settings available for these button and hotspot options please refer to the video tutorial explaining the Go To Page Button. Let's now use the Preview button to review some of the changes we have applied in adding the Open File feature. Remember this will only appear to the reader when they are offline. The end reader can click on the button and open another file whilst reading through your publication. The file will open in its own window, separate to the digital publication.
