I purchased this die to make rag quilts. It seems to be thicker than the rest of the dies that I have purchased and can barely get it through the cutter. I have to use so much force to get it through I feel like it is going to break the cutter. Is there an adjustment that I need to do to the cutter prior to using this die? The die itself should not be thicker, but with the rag die you should cut fewer layers than with another type of die. Start with one layer and work up to find what works best with your fabric/die combination. I was wondering how this worked. i have had rag quilts the other long way. Aka scissors and tv watching way. if i would make alot of quilts this machine would be on my list as it isnt as hard to ise like people think. When i have used one i believe i cut 5layers of cotton with no problem I purchased my GO! Fabric system and can't imagine not having it now. I have pain in my wrists and fingers and this system allows me to cut multi-layer fabrics in shapes and sizes that I use every day without spending a lot of time cutting which relieves stress on my hands.
